Once unconscious, the panic disappears and his body perfectly applies the training he received from Jigoro Kuwajima, a former Thunder Hashira. He then performs the first form of Thunder Breathing, Thunderclap and Flash, at a speed few Demon Slayers can follow. This comic contrast between constant fear and pure talent is what defines the character.

What does the triangle pattern on Zenitsu's haori mean?

The white triangles on a yellow gradient reproduce the uroko motif, a traditional Japanese scale pattern regarded as a talisman against evil. On Zenitsu's haori it also visually evokes lightning, echoing his Thunder Breathing. Kōyoharu Gotōge gave each Demon Slayer a signature garment, and this yellow-orange gradient is one of the easiest to identify in the whole series, even from a distance.
