Quick answer: the Denji costume comes together in ten minutes with what you already own: white shirt, loose black tie, dark trousers. Then add the one piece that sells the character, either the chainsaw mask at 29.99 euros or the Denji plush headpiece at 36.99, both one-size adult items with no kids version. Prices and stock checked on October 23: 3 masks and 7 headpieces left.
While everyone else is hemming haoris and styling wigs, the Chainsaw Man reader opens their closet. Denji wears the most ordinary outfit in manga, and that is the whole joke: a devil hunter paid peanuts, dressed like an office worker. It also makes him the smartest costume pick of the moment, in the year the Reze Arc movie hit streaming and MAPPA announced what comes next. Here are the two ways to wear him, what the reviews actually say, and what late-October delivery still allows, with no sugarcoating.
What do you need for a proper Denji costume?
Three closet staples and one accessory: a white shirt with rolled-up sleeves, a black tie worn loose, dark trousers, then the Chainsaw Man head on top. The Public Safety bulletproof vest is optional, nobody notices it. Which means your whole budget goes into the one piece you cannot improvise.
It is the same logic as our Kaneki mask guide (Tokyo Ghoul): one strong accessory on everyday clothes beats a badly fitted full costume. The difference is that Denji reads from behind too, thanks to the chainsaw silhouette. In the Assassins Arc teaser you can see him in human form, shirt and tie, tied up by the killers who want his heart: the office outfit is as much a part of the character as the blades.

Chainsaw mask or Denji plush headpiece: which one?
The mask for impact, the headpiece for comfort. The chainsaw mask at 29.99 euros reproduces Denji's transformed head, orange hood and toothed jaw, and hits hardest in photos. The plush headpiece at 36.99 is the same head as a soft helmet-style hat: the jaw frames your face, so you can see, talk and drink, and it keeps you warm through a late-October evening.
| Option | Price | Reviews | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Chainsaw mask | 29.99 € | 4.5/5 from 2 reviews | striking photos, lifted between shots |
| Denji plush headpiece | 36.99 € | 4.9/5 from 34 reviews | the whole evening, face free, keeps you warm |
| Pochita slippers | 29.99 € | 4.8/5 from 17 reviews | the house party and the rest of the year |
On the mask, the most useful review comes from Keaton, a French customer: "perfect, exactly like the photo, light and flexible mask, the blade is a bit short but looks long thanks to the optical effect". An American buyer confirms the one real gripe: he wished the head blade were longer. That is the trade-off of a wearable mask, the manga's true proportions would be unbearable on your shoulders.

The headpiece stacks up 34 reviews at 4.9/5, the best in our Chainsaw Man range. Martha, an American customer, writes: "get this, it's perfect and warm, I was really nervous since there were no reviews but it honestly impressed me". It runs big on purpose: an American dad bought it for his 4-year-old, "obviously huge on his head, we expected that, he loves it". Outside cosplay it ends up on a shelf as a decorative plush, which makes it the one Halloween buy still earning its keep in February.
Does the Chainsaw Man mask come in kids sizes?
No, and we would rather say it plainly: both the mask and the headpiece are one-size adult items. The headpiece will sit loosely on a child's head, the American dad's review shows as much, but for a real kids costume you want an outfit in a real child size. Three exist in our range: Obanai from 110 cm, Muichiro from 120 to 150 cm and Itachi in 135 and 155 cm. Our kids anime costume guide compares them centimetre by centimetre.
And what about Pochita?
Pochita is the chainsaw devil who shares Denji's miserable early days in the manga, before merging with him and literally becoming his heart. The little orange mascot has become the soft face of the series, and the Pochita slippers at 29.99 euros are its most requested form in our store: "pochita slippers" is a search that genuinely lands on the shop every week. Nathalie, a French customer, sums it up: "comfortable and cute, my son adores Pochita".
Let's be honest about the use case: slippers do not go to parties. They are the Pochita of pyjama nights, Chainsaw Man marathons at home and early Christmas gifts. If you are going as a pair, the combo that works is a masked Denji and a Power: red horns on a headband you make yourself, a blond wig, and the duo reads across the whole room.

Why is Chainsaw Man this year's costume?
Because 2026 is the year everyone caught up. Chainsaw Man The Movie: Reze Arc, released in Japanese cinemas on September 19, 2025, has been on Crunchyroll since April 30, 2026: its trailer passed 19 million views in 24 hours according to Anime Corner, and Reze pulled a whole new audience into Tatsuki Fujimoto's series.

And the next chapter is already on the way: MAPPA announced the Assassins Arc adaptation at Jump Festa on December 21, 2025, then showed a second trailer on June 19, 2026 for its 15th anniversary, with director Tatsuya Yoshihara returning. No release date has been announced as I write this on October 23, 2026: when it drops, Denji costumes will take off again like they did in 2022, so you might as well own yours before the wave.

Ordering now: delivery times, honestly
It is October 23, so let's not dance around it: count up to 12 working days for delivery, an order placed today arrives in early November, not by the 31st. If your party is this weekend, plan B is in your closet: white shirt, tie, blond hair spray, and you have a perfectly readable human Denji, especially next to a Power.
For everything else, the calendar works in your favour: November and December costume parties, winter conventions, and an anime that is coming without a date but coming. As of October 23 there are 3 masks, 7 headpieces and 4 pairs of slippers in stock, and these references do come back, but rarely within a few weeks. Shipping is free across 53 European countries, no minimum. The same delivery times apply to the whole Halloween costume collection, and to compare ten outfits at once before choosing, our manga costume guide for October 31 covers the full range.
