In short: a Nami cosplay comes down to three pieces, and the cheapest one matters most. The orange wig at 29.99 euros carries the recognition on its own, the full costume is 49.99 euros, the swimsuit 24.99 euros. All three run small: go one size up.

Which version of Nami should you pick?
That is the first thing to settle, because Nami changes outfits more often than any other One Piece character. Three options hold up at a convention.
The orange and white outfit from after the timeskip is the most recognised: it is the one people picture. The bikini and sarong from the Alabasta arc is the easiest to assemble and the best suited to summer conventions. The white hooded bodysuit from the Egghead arc is the most recent and least worn, so the one that gets noticed, but it needs sewing.
Our Nami costume at 49.99 euros covers the first option, the safest for a first convention.

The wig makes the character, not the costume
Nami's orange hair is her signature. With the wig and an approximate outfit, people recognise you; with the exact costume and your natural hair, far less. That is why the Nami wig at 29.99 euros is the first thing to buy, before the costume.
Two customer reviews say the essentials, and the second is a genuine warning. Ariah Atkins: "really cool wig, the hair is soft and it's easy to style". Silvia Domínguez, more nuanced: "it has a lot of hair, but in my opinion it's a little too bright for Nami's hair, it's more like a blonde orange". That is honest and it can be worked around: under warm light the gap barely shows in photos, and a matte colour spray tones down the shine if it bothers you.
Joseph Kelly adds the lesson everyone learns the hard way: "wig is stunning and great quality, however it will need to be styled before my next convention". A wig straight out of the bag looks like nothing. Budget half an hour of styling the night before, not on the morning itself.

The Nami shelf, piece by piece
| Piece | Price | Reviews | When to get it |
|---|---|---|---|
| Orange wig | 29.99 € | 5/5 from 16 | First, always |
| Swimsuit | 24.99 € | 5/5 from 14 | Summer cons, Alabasta version |
| Full costume | 49.99 € | 4.9/5 from 17 | The outfit everyone recognises |
Budget 80 euros for wig plus costume, which is the sweet spot. At 55 euros, wig plus swimsuit, you already have a complete and credible cosplay for a summer convention.
Sizing: the point that comes up in every review
Like the whole catalogue, the outfits are cut to Asian sizing. Laura Torres, a customer in Mexico, gives the most useful reference we have received: "arrived fast, the size ran small, it fit my daughter perfectly, she is 1.62 m and weighs 60 kg. Value for money 10 out of 10." In other words, a size labelled S fits what Europe would call an M.
On the swimsuit, Laura Boonen, in Belgium, settles the worry people have most: "loving this, it's really pretty and comfortable. At first I was kinda scared the top wasn't going to fit me but it did! I bought an S." Austin Brooks, in Australia, confirms: "amazing, fits perfectly and looks great with the rest of the outfit, also very good for the price."
The simple rule: go one size up from your usual, and order a month before the convention to keep room for an exchange.

The Clima-Tact, and how to manage without it
This is the accessory missing from most Nami cosplays, and it is not in the catalogue. The good news: in its basic version, the Clima-Tact is a blue staff in three sections, which you can build from three painted PVC tubes and a connector. Budget one evening and about ten euros.
Two convention precautions. Single-piece staffs often end up in the cloakroom at the entrance, while a demountable model gets in without discussion. And a hollow, light prop will tire you far less over a ten-hour day than a solid handle.
If you would rather not build anything, the shoulder tattoo is enough. It is a pinwheel and tangerine design that a temporary tattoo pen reproduces in ten minutes, and it shows in every three-quarter photo.

As a duo or a whole crew
Nami works particularly well in a group, because her silhouette contrasts with the other members. The most readable pairing is still Nami and Zoro: orange hair against green hair, nobody gets it wrong. Our Zoro earrings at 16.99 euros are the cheapest way to complete a duo, and we covered their story in a dedicated article.
For a first cosplay of any kind, our selection of ten easy characters for beginners explains which accessories are enough to get recognised.

Where One Piece stands
The anime has entered the Elbaf arc, the island of giants, airing since 5 April 2026 with a new art direction at Toei. Nami wears a brand new outfit there, which means one more version is about to appear at conventions over the coming months. We covered what awaits the crew in our article on the Elbaf arc.
Frequently asked questions about the Nami cosplay
What size should you order for a Nami costume?
One size up from your usual: the outfits are cut to Asian sizing. A reference from a customer: size S fits someone 1.62 m tall weighing 60 kg. Order a month before a convention to keep room for an exchange.
Should you buy the wig or the costume first?
The wig, without hesitation. The orange hair is Nami's signature: with the wig and an approximate outfit people recognise you, with the exact costume and your natural hair far less. It is 29.99 euros, rated 5 out of 5 across 16 reviews.
Is the wig the right colour?
One customer finds it a little bright, "more like a blonde orange" than Nami's orange. Under warm light the gap barely shows in photos, and a matte colour spray tones down the shine. Above all, budget half an hour of styling the night before: a wig straight out of the bag looks like nothing.
How much does a full Nami cosplay cost?
Around 80 euros for the wig and costume, which is the most recognised set. At 55 euros, wig plus swimsuit, you already have a credible cosplay for a summer convention.
Where can you find Nami's Clima-Tact?
We do not sell it. In its basic version it is a blue staff in three sections, which three painted PVC tubes reproduce for about ten euros. Go for a demountable model: single-piece staffs are often refused at convention entrances.
Which version of Nami is the most recognisable?
The orange and white outfit from after the timeskip, the one covered by the 49.99 euro costume. The Alabasta bikini and sarong is simpler and better suited to summer, and the white Egghead bodysuit is the most recent so the most noticed, but it needs sewing.
