Quick answer: the Shinobu Kocho costume costs 29.99 euros, runs from M to XXXL and is built around the piece that makes the character: the butterfly-wing haori. It does not come in kids sizes. For a child, pick Muichiro from 120 cm or Obanai from 110 cm. The product is rated 4.7/5 across 26 reviews.
Between the Infinity Castle movie landing on Netflix in late September and 31 October closing in, Shinobu is the Demon Slayer outfit we get asked about most this autumn. Here is exactly what the costume includes, how to pick your size, and the honest answer to the question that keeps coming back: no, it does not exist in kids sizes, and we tell you what to get instead.
What does the 29.99 euro Shinobu costume include?
At that price you are buying the butterfly-pattern haori, the piece that identifies Shinobu at first glance. The dark, fitted uniform underneath can be recreated with a black top and trousers you already own. The purple wig and the sword are not included.
That is a deliberate trade-off: on a 30 euro budget, better to put all of it into the piece everyone looks at. The haori is worn open, it flows with every step, and that is exactly the effect you want. "The cut is loose but true to the character," sums up Nathan, a customer, in his 5-star review. Out of the seven Demon Slayer costumes in the catalogue, this one is the most reviewed: 26 reviews, 4.7/5 average.

What does Shinobu's outfit look like in Demon Slayer?
The outfit of Shinobu Kocho, the Insect Hashira, consists of the dark purple Demon Slayer Corps uniform and a white haori whose sleeves and hem fade from turquoise to pink in a butterfly-wing pattern. A butterfly ornament holds her bun, and her leg wraps repeat the same gradient.
The detail manga readers know: that haori is not hers. It belonged to her older sister Kanae, killed by the demon Doma, and Shinobu wears it as an inheritance. That is what makes the garment carry so much weight in the Infinity Castle movie, where she holds it up in front of Doma. If you are aiming for maximum accuracy at a convention, add a butterfly clip in a bun and light leg wraps; for a Halloween party, the haori over black clothes does the job.

Which size should you pick, and who is it for?
Take your usual size. The cut runs loose by design, two of the last ten reviews mention it, and it is intentional: a haori is a flowing garment worn open, including over a jumper when the night of 31 October turns cold. If you hesitate between two sizes for a spring convention, the smaller one will work too.

Is there a Shinobu costume for kids?
No. The Shinobu costume starts at an adult M, and an adult M on an eight-year-old drags on the floor. It is the question we have received most on this product since early October, and a straight answer beats an approximate size.
To stay in Demon Slayer with a child, two outfits are actually cut for it: Muichiro Tokito, 120 to 150 cm at 59.99 euros for the costume alone, whose gradient haori carries the same spirit as Shinobu's, and Obanai Iguro, the only one going down to 110 cm, at 69.99 euros. We detailed the measurements and the sizing traps in our guide to anime costumes in kids sizes.
Why is everyone searching for Shinobu right now?
Because her duel against Doma is one of the peaks of Demon Slayer Infinity Castle, released in Japanese cinemas on 18 July 2025, almost everywhere else in September 2025, and streaming on Netflix since 28 September 2026 in the United States and part of Europe. Three weeks before 31 October, the calendar does the rest.

Aniplex dedicated a full character spot to Shinobu during the film's theatrical run, a sign of her weight in this first part of the final trilogy. Part two will not arrive before 2027, which gives this costume a long season ahead.

The video game adds to it: in The Hinokami Chronicles 2, the Infinity Castle version of Shinobu has been playable since 17 April 2026 as a character pack, and the game lands on Switch 2 on 29 October, two days before Halloween. We covered what that edition contains in our article on the Switch 2 Edition.

Ordering for 31 October: the honest timeline
Allow up to 12 working days for delivery, longer depending on the country and the local carrier. An order placed in the next few days plays the window to the limit: it can land just before the 31st or slip into the first days of November. Shipping is free across the 53 European countries, with no minimum order. The rest of the 31 October outfits live in the Halloween costumes collection, and our guide to anime costumes for 31 October compares the ten most recognisable outfits, if you are still torn between Shinobu and someone else.
