Jujutsu Kaisen cosplay: which character to pick for your budget

Published on July 29, 2026·By Antoine Brault

In short: for a first Jujutsu Kaisen cosplay, Gojo's uniform at 29.99 euros offers the best recognition-to-difficulty ratio. Sukuna at 34.99 euros photographs better, Maki at 49.99 euros is our most reviewed item with 100 ratings, and Choso at 99.99 euros is the only real investment in the range.

Which Jujutsu Kaisen cosplay should a beginner pick?

The jujutsu school uniform. That is the short answer, and it holds for almost everyone. The dark high-collar top looks like actual clothing, it can be worn for hours without getting in the way, and it is recognised instantly at a convention even without a wig. It is the only cosplay in the range you can wear to the cinema without feeling in costume.

In Jujutsu Kaisen the difficulty never comes from the outfit, it comes from the hair. Gojo without his white mop and blindfold goes unnoticed, and so does Sukuna without his facial markings. Budget for the hair before choosing the character, not after.

Gojo, the default pick and why it is justified

The Gojo costume at 29.99 euros is the cheapest in the range and the most worn. It has a quality the others lack: it works even when poorly executed. A black blindfold, roughly white hair, and everyone knows who you are.

On sizing, one customer sums it up: "I ordered it in XL and it fits me well." That is the rule across the range, since the outfits are cut to Asian sizing: order one size above your usual European size.

If you want a piece of the series without wearing the full outfit, the Gojo keyring at 14.99 euros (4.9 out of 5, 34 reviews) and the Gojo plush at 19.99 euros (5 out of 5, 24 reviews) are the two items that leave the fastest.

Sukuna, the one that lands best in photos

The Sukuna costume at 34.99 euros is rated 4.9 out of 5 across 18 reviews. He is the character who reads best on camera, provided you accept the make-up: without the black markings on face and arms, the kimono stays a kimono.

One honest customer note, because it is better known in advance: "cosplay is the right size but a small stain on the kimono did not come out in the wash." Check yours on arrival, that kind of flaw is settled by exchange if flagged straight away.

The Sukuna ring at 12.99 euros deserves a separate mention: 5 out of 5 across 51 reviews, the best rated item in the whole Jujutsu Kaisen range, and it can be worn daily without announcing anything.

Maki, the most reviewed costume in the catalogue

The Maki Zenin costume at 49.99 euros shows 100 reviews for 4.7 out of 5. It is our most commented item across every category, which makes the feedback unusually reliable.

One point comes up repeatedly and it is fair: the cut runs small on a fuller chest. Order a size above what you would take elsewhere. The matching wig at 29.99 euros completes the look, though the glasses already do three quarters of the recognition work.

Yuji and Toji, two opposite profiles

The Yuji Itadori costume at 59.99 euros is rated 4.9 out of 5 across 23 reviews. Andrea Baumann sums up what comes back most often: "the jacket fits perfectly, though the pants could fit a bit better. Overall, a really solid cosplay I can recommend." He is the lead, so he is recognised without effort.

The Toji Fushiguro costume at 39.99 euros plays a different card: an adult, understated silhouette with no school uniform. It is the pick when you want to avoid the schoolboy look while staying in the series.

What does a full Jujutsu Kaisen cosplay cost?

Gojo facing Sukuna in Jujutsu Kaisen

Around 30 euros at entry level, 60 to 80 euros for a credible set with a wig, and 100 euros or more if you are aiming for Choso. Here are the three tiers and what they actually include.

At 30 euros, the Gojo or Nobara costume alone: enough for an evening, a little thin for a convention where you will be photographed close up. At 60 euros, the same costume plus a wig at 29.99 euros: that is the sweet spot, and what we recommend for a first convention. Beyond that, the Choso costume at 99.99 euros (4.9 out of 5, 48 reviews) and Geto's at 59 euros are for people who already have a cosplay or two behind them.

One scheduling detail that matters: delivery takes 7 to 21 days depending on the destination. For a convention, order a month ahead rather than three weeks, so you keep room for a size exchange.

Where the series stands for anyone catching up

Season 3, covering the Culling Game, aired from 8 January to 26 March 2026 on Crunchyroll. A fourth season is confirmed and a teaser has already circulated, with no date announced. We laid all of that out in our season 3 recap and what is actually confirmed for season 4.

If Sukuna interests you beyond the costume, we devoted a full article to what makes the King of Curses such an unusual antagonist. And for a first cosplay across all universes, our selection of ten characters that are easy to wear remains the best starting point.

The full range sits in the Jujutsu Kaisen collection, with nineteen items available.

Frequently asked questions about Jujutsu Kaisen cosplay

What is the easiest Jujutsu Kaisen cosplay?
Gojo Satoru's uniform at 29.99 euros. The dark high-collar top wears like real clothing, and the black blindfold is enough to make the character recognisable, even without a perfect wig. It is also the cheapest in the range.

What size should I order for a Jujutsu Kaisen costume?
One size above your usual European size. The outfits are cut to Asian sizing and reviews confirm it regularly, particularly on the Maki costume whose cut runs small. When hesitating between two sizes, take the larger one.

How much does a full Jujutsu Kaisen cosplay cost?
Around 30 euros for a costume alone, 60 euros for a set with a wig, and up to 100 euros for the Choso costume. The sweet spot for a first convention sits around 60 euros, costume and wig included.

Do I need a wig for a Jujutsu Kaisen cosplay?
For Gojo and Sukuna, yes, the hair carries most of the recognition. For Maki, the glasses almost suffice. For Toji, a short dark cut does the job without a wig. It is the expense people forget most often.

Which Jujutsu Kaisen cosplay photographs best?
Sukuna, provided you do the make-up: the black markings on face and arms make all the difference. Without them, the 34.99 euro kimono stays a kimono. Choso comes right behind, with a more elaborate outfit but a 99.99 euro budget.

How far ahead of a convention should I order?
A month. Delivery takes 7 to 21 days depending on the destination, and you need room for a possible size exchange, fitting and wig styling. Ordering three weeks ahead is the surest way to receive it the day before with no time to fix anything.
