Quick answer: to dress up in ten minutes, you do not copy a full outfit, you wear the one accessory that identifies the character: a Pokémon beanie for 12.99 euros, a One Piece hat for 19.99, Kaneki's mask or the Nobara wig for 29.99. The rest of the silhouette comes out of your wardrobe. Prices, stock and reviews checked on the product pages on October 31.
This guide comes from something we see at the shop every single year: full costume orders leave in early October, then comes the wave of latecomers who no longer have time for a three-piece uniform. The good news is that express cosplay exists, and it fits in a shoebox. One well-chosen mask, wig or hat does the work of an entire costume, for a costume party, a November convention or the next October 31.

Even Luffy swaps headgear for the Elbaph arc. Proof that a hat tells a character's story.
Why is one accessory enough to be recognized?
Because manga characters are drawn to be identified in one second, from behind, at a distance, in a crowd. Every hero carries a single attribute that does all the work: Luffy's straw hat, Tanjiro's hanafuda earrings, a Konoha headband with a scratch through it. Wear the attribute, and everyone fills in the rest in their head.
That same principle keeps our accessory shelves moving all year round: the four One Piece and Bleach hats plus the Pokémon beanies add up to more than 160 customer reviews, more than many full costumes. An accessory ships in a padded envelope, costs between 12.99 and 29.99 euros in most cases, and gets worn again at conventions and parties. To find out which character asks the least of you, our easy cosplay guide for beginners ranks ten candidates.

Which mask should you pick for an instant costume?
Kaneki's mask (Tokyo Ghoul) remains the benchmark of the no-preparation costume: 29.99 euros, rated 5/5 by 25 customers, and it goes over black jeans and a black tee you already own. Zero skill required, and it changes your entire face. The version with the collar at 24.99 euros is sold out as I write this, the classic one is in stock.
Mae, in her review on the product page, sums up the assembly: she found it exactly as described, with the metal details and the cord supplied separately and very simple to put together. We wrote a full guide to Kaneki's mask if you want the ten-minute method in detail.
For alternatives, the Nel mask (Bleach) at 29.99 euros, a horned skull worn on top of the head, leaves your face free, which is handy for eating and talking at a party. The Sniper Mask from High-Rise Invasion, also 29.99 euros, plays the stitched-smile marksman card. For Chainsaw Man, three chainsaw masks were left at the October 31 count; the Denji plush headpiece at 36.99 euros, rated 4.9/5 across 34 reviews, is the soft option from the same universe, and our Chainsaw Man guide compares the two.

Bleach is wrapping up its final part, the Calamity, on air since July: the right moment to bring out the Nel mask and Urahara's bucket hat.
Does a wig alone count as a costume?
Yes, as long as you pick a character people recognize by the haircut. The Nobara wig (Jujutsu Kaisen), an auburn bob at 29.99 euros, is the best example on the shelf: 98 units in stock and 4.9/5 across 14 reviews. Linda, from the United States, writes that it "needed such minimal styling to look perfect for Nobara".
Over at Naruto, the Itachi listing sells the wig alone for 29.99 euros, the Konoha headband alone for 16.99, or both for 34.99. The headband with a scratch through the leaf is the attribute of the most famous deserter in manga: on its own, over your own hair, it already makes a last-minute costume under 17 euros. Same logic at Demon Slayer: the Tanjiro wig listing, rated 4.7/5 by 46 customers, offers the hanafuda earrings alone for 16.99 euros, with ten pairs left at the count.

Tanjiro's hanafuda earrings, visible in every shot of Infinity Castle, released in theaters in 2025. The next part of the trilogy will not arrive before 2027: this accessory has a future.
The top of the shelf is the Jinx wig (Arcane), 69.99 euros, blue braids over 90 cm long, 4.9/5 across 27 reviews. Michael describes it precisely: "Very high quality, especially for the price. A little over 90cm, reaches to about my knees and I'm about 165cm." Since season 2 aired on Netflix in late 2024, it has been the most requested non-manga wig in the shop.

Jinx in the Arcane season 2 trailer: the blue braids are the character.
One piece of shopkeeper honesty though: a wig is not the two-minute accessory, more like the ten-minute one. It arrives compressed in its bag, so you brush it, shake it out and set it hairline first. Joseph, from Australia, says it on the Nami wig page: "Wig is stunning and great quality, however will need to be styled before my next convention." Plan a brush-through the night before, and note that the Zoro wig is sold out as I write. The rest of the shelf lives in the wig collection.
Hat or beanie: how good is the under-20-euro option?
It is the zero-risk option: no size to pick, no styling, and the highest ratings in the shop. The Chopper hat (One Piece) comes in three shapes at 19.99 euros, including the pink hat with two units left at the count, and shows 5/5 across 31 reviews. Misael writes: "The material is really nice and it's not too small as other reviews are saying."
Luffy's straw hat, 19.99 euros and 4.9/5 across 25 reviews, is the single best-known attribute in all of manga, to the point of naming the whole crew. One honest caveat: it runs small, and a Brazilian customer flatly calls it child-sized. If you have a larger head, switch to the Law hat, 19.99 euros in two shapes, where a Spanish review notes it would need the brim detail to fully match the series. The striped bucket hat of Urahara (Bleach), 19.99 euros, rounds out the shelf; only two reviews on the page, the candy-shop keeper remains a connoisseur's pick.
Below that, the Pokémon beanies at 12.99 euros are the entry ticket to express dressing-up: Slowpoke, Ditto, Psyduck and Snorlax, rated 5/5 by 21 customers; the Gengar beanie is sold out at the October 31 count. Mélanie sums up the hidden bonus: a beanie that keeps you properly warm all winter. A Psyduck beanie, a yellow hoodie, and you are the most unbothered Pokémon at the party, warm until March.

Which accessory for which budget: the comparison
The whole table comes from the product pages, checked on October 31. The middle column is the real question to ask yourself: who do you want to be, and does the accessory say it on its own?

Ordered today, worn when?
Let's be frank about delivery: count up to 12 working days. An order placed on the morning of October 31 will not make it for the evening's trick-or-treating; it will make it for November's costume parties, the winter conventions and every October 31 after that. For tonight, the method is reversed: open the wardrobe, pick the character's colors, and the accessory you order takes over next time.
That is the real strength of the accessory over the full costume: it does not sleep eleven months in a closet. The beanie keeps you warm all winter, the hat goes to festivals, the wig comes back out at every convention. To build a complete outfit when you have the time, the full tour of October 31 costumes is in our anime Halloween costume guide, and the whole section, accessories included, is gathered in the Halloween costumes collection.
